The Company;

PM Consulting Engineers LTD are based in the North East of England with offices in Guisborough and Marske. Our Structural designs can be found in locations across the United Kingdom, predominantly in domestic dwellings but also small scale commercial structures. 

Chartered Building Surveyor:

​

The Position; 

A great opportunity for a Chartered building surveyor with proven experience in carrying out residential building surveys, solving building defects and project management and site supervision.

​

Duties; 

  • Client management and contract administration/practice duties

  • Provide advice on the design, construction, maintenance, repair and refurbishment of all types of residential, commercial properties and academic

  • Carry out building and measured surveys

  • Ensure buildings conform to the latest building regulations and technical standards

  • Taking particulars on site, writing up specifications, obtaining estimates, planning maintenance programmes and administering contracts for maintenance work

  • Analyse and report on building defects

  • Handling claims and negotiations with loss adjusters leading to the preparation of drawings and specifications for remedial work

  • Prepare schedules of dilapidation (land and buildings)

  • Provide advice in connection with planning applications, appeals and boundary disputes

  • Supervision of building work on site

Key attributes;

  • Hold MRICS or FRICS qualification

​

The Location;

Redcar and Cleveland. We need you to be in this area and able to commute to our offices easily and to and from site to carry out site visits (own car and clean driving license required). The right candidate would have the flexibility to be home based. We work across the North East, predominantly Redcar and Cleveland, Middlesbrough, Stockton on Tees and surrounding areas.

We are flexible and would be happy for the right candidate to be home based dependant on experience etc.

Structural Design Engineer:

​

The Position; 

A great opportunity for a Structural Design Engineer with proven experience in delivering detailed design solutions for structural engineering projects. With a good general knowledge of building construction, you will seek practical, efficient, innovative and elegant solutions. Reporting directly to the Directors for the financial, technical and resourcing control of projects.

​

Duties; 

Duties include production of code compliant structural solutions to meet client requirements on programme and within budget. Plus these key attributes

  • Have a sound understanding of engineering principles

  • Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in structural projects

  • Understand British standards and/or Eurocode

  • Hold sound knowledge of domestic and small scale commercial engineering of construction projects

  • Have experience of industry software including Tekla Tedds, Tekla Structural Designer, Masterseries and Autocad

  • Hold either CEng, MIStructE/MICE/MIMechE or be working towards one of these

  • Hold a degree – 2:1 or above in engineering or building surveying.
